Benjamin Franklin is the only founding father that signed all four key documents that led to the formation of the U.S. These are Declaration of Independence, The Treaty of Alliance with France, the peace treaty with Great Britain, the United States Constitution.

Franklin served as an ambassador to several countries including France, England and Canada.

Benjamin Franklin wasn’t trusted to write the Declaration of Independence as it was feared that he would add a joke in it.

When Franklin dies, he willed the cities of Boston and Philadelphia $4,400 each, but with the stipulation that the money could not be spend for 200 years. By 1990, Boston’s trust was worth over $5 million.
